Testimonial

“Energy Efficient Solutions Group (EESG) undertook the photovoltaic installation at Moat Community College, Leicester under the Council’s Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme. EESG delivered this project in May as part of 26 installations that were delivered over 7 months, an incredibly busy period and an excellent start to the companies additions in delivering a host of other renewable technologies” – John Squires, Technical Project Manager Salix

what we did…

Given the strict time constraints due to examination schedules, EESG expedited the planning process, securing approval for the Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) and Construction Phase Plan (CPP) within just one week. This swift and efficient approach enabled the installation to be completed in only five days, meeting the client’s deadline without compromising on quality or safety.

The solar PV system comprised 264 high-performance 375W monocrystalline panels, resulting in a total system capacity of 99kWp. This installation is projected to generate an annual yield of 80,586kWh, translating into substantial financial and environmental benefits. In the first year alone, the system is expected to deliver electricity savings of £20,147. Over a 20-year period, the college stands to save approximately £528,943 in energy costs.

From an environmental perspective, the system will prevent the emission of 18.78 cubic tonnes of carbon dioxide annually. This reduction is equivalent to planting 863 trees, making a significant contribution to the college’s sustainability goals while reinforcing EESG’s commitment to delivering energy-efficient solutions that support the transition to renewable energy
