Moat Community College

EESG were successful in a multi site competitive tender to install a solar PV array at Moat Community College in Leicester. The programme was a complete turnkey Solar PV installation with EESG operating as the designer and principal contractor, operating to the clients detailed scope of works. Due to examination timetables, RAMS and CPP were drawn up and approved within 1 week in order for the installation to be completed in 5 days as required by the client. The array consisted of 264 x 375W monocrystalline solar PV modules. The projects systems size was 99kWp providing a yield of 80,586kWh per annum, this will result in annual electricity savings in year 1 of £20,147, a 20-year saving of £528,943 and will save the lent 18.78 cubic tonnes of carbon per annum. The system will save enough carbon to the equivalent of planting 863 trees.
