The Low Carbon Skills Fund (LCSF) provides the required technical expertise to deliver Heat Decarbonisation Plans and this grant scheme enables public sector bodies to engage specialist advice to identify and develop energy efficiency and low carbon heat upgrade projects for non-domestic buildings, administered by Salix Finance.
Phase 5
The Phase 5 Low Carbon Skills Fund is a great opportunity for public sector organisations, who can apply for a share of the £16 million grant funding for the financial year of 2024/25.
This funding initiative supports organisations by offering grants to assist in the development of strategies to decrease their dependence on fossil fuels for heating buildings. These grants can be used in numerous ways, such as hiring experts to create a heat decarbonisation plan.
To qualify and meet the criteria for a grant, organisations must own the building or have a long-term lease, with at least 20 years remaining. The grant value will range from £100,000 up to £1,000,000 and only one application per organisation is permitted.
Applications for this scheme can be found on the Salix Finance website and can be submitted today onwards and until the 1st of May 2024.
