The sustainable development team identified that they could not only significantly reduce their carbon footprint, but also make huge electricity savings by changing North Bristol’s old inefficient lighting to LED and also embarked upon installing solar PV throughout their estate. In addition, they realised that they could improve the hospitals environment for both staff and patients by installing new lighting therefore, creating a calmer and more efficient atmosphere.
After successfully winning the contract through this UK wide tender process, Energy Efficient Solutions Group (EES Group) were appointed to upgrade 11 of North Bristol NHS’s buildings to LED and to install solar PV on 5 of its buildings.
