EES Group Energy Efficiency Awards – South East Region July 2023.

Energy Efficient Solutions Group (EES Group) are thrilled to have been highly commended for two honourable awards at the South East Energy Efficiency Awards 2023, that took place in Sofitel Gatwick Airport Crawley on Friday 14th July.
EES Group take pride in providing sustainable energy solutions that help reduce carbon emissions and promote environmental preservation. Additionally, EES Group prioritise in delivering high-quality results and exceptional customer service to clients and are delighted to be recognised for such awards.
The first award that EES Group were highly commended for was the “Solar PV Installer 2023”.
EES Group has seen unprecedented growth in renewable energy and in particular Solar PV in the latter half of 2022 and 2023. In particular, in the South East region we completed an outstanding number of 19 solar installations in the last year, with an estimated total power generation of 1,252 KW from these projects.
EES Group have installed Solar PV arrays for both small and large multi-site clients in this area including small schools with unique roof requirements; to universities and hospitals with big/diverse estate needs; to new builds wanting the most sustainable buildings.
In the last year, in the South East, EES Group have achieved a total system size of 1252.6 kw and reduced carbon by 254.98 tonnes in the South East. The project costs last year totalled £1,517,363 in the South East of England alone. This remarkable growth will achieve an estimated 1-year savings at £322,661, 20-year savings at £7,864,759, and the average payback period of 4.8 years for the clients we have worked for.
The second award EES Group were highly commended for was the “Large Project (>Over 250K) 2023”. This was based on the JA Brooks Solar PV install. With foundations in plumbing JA Brooks is a mechanical services company, who design, manufacture and fit systems for water supply, sanitation, heat, fresh air and gas. They develop and engineer efficient solutions for their clients across the UK and Europe.
The goal of the project was to install the most efficient solar PV system on JA Brooks’ new freight centre in Colchester by April 28th, 2023. To maximise power delivery, the system had to use the rooftop space as efficiently as possible but also needed to be expandable to meet potential future needs, making the project truly sustainable. EES Group were tasked with delivering a 187.00kW solar array.
EES Group helped JA Brooks with some of their key aims to ‘lower energy consumption’ and make their new freight centre ‘sustainable’ and ‘environmentally friendly’. Both EES Group and JA Brookes Group had the shared vision and goals for achieving net zero and working towards sustainability, making this the perfect partnership.
EES Group also enabled JA Brooks to optimise their energy usage by integrating a fuel cell storage solution, further contributing to their net zero aims.
The successful completion of this project has resulted in a significant decrease in carbon emissions and a substantial increase in energy self-sufficiency.
EES Group was able to clearly demonstrate the significant energy savings that could be achieved and the positive impact on the local community. Annual energy savings came to a total of £59,494, 20-year energy savings are projected to be an astonishing £1,533,637, the payback period is 3 years, and total carbon emission savings are 39.62ct.
EES Group is delighted to have been ‘Highly Commended’ in both if these categories and continues to help many organisations’ to de-carbonise and save energy not only in the South East region, but all across the UK.
