LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting; revolutionary, innovative, efficient. The creation of LED lighting has been a groundbreaking development in the world of lighting technology. Not only are these lights significantly more effective than traditional alternatives, but they are also environmentally friendly, reducing carbon emissions and contributing to a much-needed greener ecosystem. Originally, LED’s primarily served as ‘indicators,’ illuminating power lights on electronic devices. However, blue-light LED transformed this, and now LED lights are utilised almost everywhere.

Achieving net zero emissions is a goal all businesses should strive for. What better way to cut carbon emissions than by implementing the most up-to-date advanced lighting technology in the form of LEDs?

LEDs outperform traditional forms of lighting such as incandescent and fluorescent bulbs. They produce a much brighter light, contain no mercury, making 95% of the bulb recyclable, and have a lifespan of 36,000 hours.

LEDs installed over 5 years could well be due for an upgrade. LED lights have dramatically improved over the last few years in terms of efficiency, durability, and have become increasingly compatible with other technologies such as sensors in low used areas and remote monitoring and evaluation,

In addition, LED lighting energy ratings have experienced a substantial increase in efficiency. Consequently, a new energy rating system has been introduced. This new system’s scale ranges from A-G, with the elimination of + ratings.

This new structure has made it easier to assess the efficiency of lamps, as consumers just need to check and review the lumens output and ensure that it is low wattage.

New regulations state that lamps must contain the supplier’s name and model number, energy rating on the A-G scale, power consumption, and a QR code for convenient access to additional information.

Bluetooth wireless technology is an innovative technology for monitoring and evaluating lighting systems. Its unique network protocol is specifically designed to be safe, robust, and scalable, making it the ideal choice for professional applications. It enables clients to connect, manage and control thousands of devices simultaneously, offering an efficient and reliable solution.

These systems ensure a high level of security with encrypted digital communication and strong offline procedures. The owner will have full control over access, and once added to the network, only the network can access it, making it a suitable option for high security installations like prisons or the military.

In relation to scalability, installations from 1 to 10,000 luminaires can be implemented. This network is very scalable as Bluetooth technology does not rely on the cloud or internet connectivity to operate, allowing users to connect thousands of luminaires with ease.

This technology enables clients to control, connect, monitor and analyse large wireless networks that are suitablefor a range of applications, such as scheduling light levels throughout the day, connecting light sensors, and the self-test and monitoring of emergency lights, decreasing the need for manual maintenance. Users can download latest updates and functionalities, making it an adaptive system, making Bluetooth wireless technology a prime example of how LEDs have become more technical and improved considerably over recent years.
