Fluorescent bulb ban

Are you ready for the ban of fluorescent lighting in the UK & EU?

Did you know the RoHS of the EU/UK (Reduction of Hazardous Substances) are restricting the use of certain hazardous substances in electric and electronic equipment?

This includes the use of mercury in lighting products. The directive includes exemptions for a series of products that have now been revised by the European Commission – this has had huge impacts on fluorescent lighting.

The SLR (Single Lighting Regulation) are additionally phasing out products that fail to meet efficiency requirements. Together both regulations are helping to protect the environment and public health, by enforcing climate friendly, sustainable lighting.
